Request for Proposals (RFP) for PAServes-Greater Pittsburgh Coordination Center
July 24, 2020. The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) to manage and sustain the activities of the PAServes-Greater Pittsburgh Coordination Center, the hub of the coordinated network of organizations serving the military-connected population in Allegheny, Butler, and Westmoreland counties.
First launching in October 2015, PAServes-Greater Pittsburgh set out to improve care coordination and ease access and navigation to services on behalf of service members, veterans, and their families. Since that time, the network has grown to include over 60 participating provider organizations. Collectively, the network has helped more than 5,000 unique clients with nearly 16,000 requests, ensuring timely connection to quality care.
PAServes-Greater Pittsburgh continues to make a difference in the lives of military-connected families. After nearly five of success and a great deal of learning, it is an opportune time to re-compete the Coordination Center award to focus more closely on two essential priorities over the next 24 months:
1) Innovate and build on the network’s impressive level of performance.
2) Secure long-term, sustainable sources of funding.
As most of you know, Pittsburgh Mercy Health System (PMHS) is the current home for PAServes, and has been a true pioneer in the effort to build better systems of care for veterans and military families in the community. The IVMF is incredibly grateful for their partnership and the RFP remains open to them and any other organization that meets the criteria outlined in the RFP.
The IVMF will also be working closely with PMHS during this RFP process to ensure that the network continues to operate without interruption. PAServes will remain open and service providers will maintain the ability to send and receive referrals through the network. All network funders and stakeholders are aligned in the collective goal to ensure that veterans and their family members continue to receive the high level of service they have come to expect from PAServes.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the veterans and military-connected families in the Greater Pittsburgh region. Please share this opportunity with your contacts!
