Marvin Freeman served in the United States Air Force as a logistics professional. He is the son of a US Air Force Retired CMSGT. After several years traveling the world, Marvin separated from the military and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Marvin worked as a case manager for the Supportive Service for Veteran Families (SSVF) utilizing his understanding of military culture to assist homeless veterans and those at risk of becoming homeless with obtaining housing stability.
On April 1st, 2018 the AmericaServes Community of Practice will be opening two scholarship opportunities for coordination center staff and AmericaServes providers. These scholarships will provide an opportunity for professional development that will strengthen the practice. In memorial of Marvin Freeman, Jr. – from NCServes-Coastal and ECHSA, we hope to honor his compassion and positive spirit.
