The Mid-Atlantic Regional Community of Practice is comprised of three unique networks: PAServes – Greater Pittsburgh, Mission United South Hampton Roads and Serving Together: An Affiliate of AmericaServes (National Capital Region).
First, PAServes – Greater Pittsburgh, where coordination center operations are run by Pittsburgh Mercy, one of the largest nonprofits and employers in Southwestern Pennsylvania, is AmericaServes’ third longest serving network.
Next, is Mission United South Hampton Roads. In mid-2017, in partnership with United Way of South Hampton Roads, we welcomed Mission United South Hampton Roads as our first affiliate and tenth AmericaServes network.
Lastly, is DCServes – National Capital Region, including counties in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC). Slated to launch in mid-2018, the Washington DC Region network will be coordinated by EveryMind, a Maryland-based non-profit with over 60 years of experience providing health and wellness services to individuals across the Nation Capital Region.
Together, this unique group of networks underlines how diverse communities can come together and learn from their each other’s experiences to improve upon their service delivery to veterans, service members and their families.
