This position is required to lead the Community Services portfolio of IVMF and will have the responsibility for building and overseeing strategic relationships with government, business, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors. Specifically, the job will include developing strategies and policies to design, build, deploy, and oversee IVMF’s collective impact initiatives in select communities nationwide. The Director will also be responsible for helping to secure significant funding from philanthropic and government sources, and applying that funding to achieve IVMF missions, including work with multiple stakeholders. The job will include using high-level negotiation and persuasion to obtain and deploy resources controlled, influenced, or affiliated with organizations and government agencies serving veterans and their families, and to advance IVMF’s ability to engage with these stakeholders and obtain support from them.
• Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of professional experience in the areas of program implementation and management in services for people with disadvantages or human services delivery. Strong record of accomplishments leading change and delivering outcomes and impact in community-based care and services.
• Direct leadership experience in veterans’ issues, challenges and needs, either gained through developing and/or managing veteran related programs.
