Chicagoland: The State of the American Veteran Study Release

Program Manager Matt Feldhaus and Managing Director at IVMF Jim McDonough recently visited the beautiful city of Chicago for the Chicagoland: The State of the American Veteran study release at Loyola University on March 19th. Here is what Matt had to say about the trip:

Chicago 1

“Here is a shot of downtown Chicago. It is important that the AmericaServes team engages the communities AT the communities, thus Jim and I traveled from our respective homes to attend an important event for the veterans of Chicagoland.”

“Here you can see all of the important players and elements of the event. The event name Chicagoland: The State of the American Veteran.  The Chicagoland veterans study is also displayed. It also showcases the host, Loyola University’s school of social work. It’s really great to see these partnerships and organizations work to uncover, utilizing valuable resources to uncover needs and opportunities of the veterans landscape in their communities. This was an in-depth analysis of social, economic, and community factors that impact the Chicagoland community.”

“You can see the grand turn out for this event. Throughout the event were key leaders of universities, non-profits, big businesses, government, and media.  While attending the event, we witnessed the powerful energy filling the room as the presenters released the findings of their study. It was witnessed the seeds be sown for the potential of an AmericaServes: Chicagoland in the near future!”
