SCServes Low Country: Kick-Off
On behalf of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University and Wounded Warrior Corps, I would like to thank you for supporting the SCServes initiative to expand upon existing efforts to collectively align South Carolina’s private, public and nonprofit services and resources to better serve veterans and their family members.
As you may recall from the event yesterday, our goal is for South Carolina to develop a coordinated network of services and resources that epitomizes trusted partnerships, best serves our transitioning service members, veterans and their families, and sets the example for the VA and veteran serving organizations across the country to emulate.
As promised, please click here to download the SCServes Tri-County Kick-Off slides from our meeting, here to download NYCServes’ 2nd In-Progress Report (IPR), and here for IVMF’s After the Sea of Goodwill whitepaper referenced during the meeting.
In terms of action items, here’s what we are asking you to do prior to our next strategy session.
- Be an ambassador to the community and make sure you invite your partners to the next meeting so we can truly create a network of value for transitioning veterans and their families
- Complete this short survey here, which will be used to develop content for our second strategy session. Your inputs here will allow us to begin to define a service region during our next session, and is critical given our aggressive implementation timeline.
- Keep an eye out for the second strategy session invitation.
